I have a problem that i wonder if any of you can shed some light on, i am about to go touring across italy and france and will be taking some really quiet routes, so i thought excellent i'll download the maps from these countries with map loader. takes ages to download but they are all on there, when i load up map loader i don't connect to the network (wi-fi, i never connect directly due to costs). i then find that i can't see any of the maps! :-|

After much hemming and hawing I think I've narrowed down the choices for a new, unlocked phone to the Nokia E50 and the Nokia E65.

I'm interested in hearing about the following regarding these 2 phones:

-Battery life
-Voice quality/reception
-Durability/build quality
-Sliding mechanism on the E65
-Connectivity options
-Overall "feel" (I suppose this is fairly subjective)

Also if you know of any bugs with any of these phones, knowing those would be helpful.

Sorry the subject shoudl read A few questions on the N95 1 (non 8g)

I have been pondering over upgrading my phone and I was going to go for the K850i until I read its current problems.

So I then started to think about trying to get a phone that has a decent camera , can run different types of applications ,can browse the net over wi fi and have bluetooth.

This drew to me to the N95. I understand that it does not have a very good battery life, however is this because of the GPS?.

to Nokia and SE. My phone history over the last few years has been something like this:

SE 750i, Nokia N70, Nokia 6300, SE K800i, Nokia 6300 (again) and Nokia N73....with brief uses of a Nokia N82 and a Moto V8.

They've all been ok but bored of the same UI's etc. I haven't even looked at a Samsung or LG in years. My last Sammy was a D500 and the last LG i had was an early one on 3 (8110? or 8120? can't remember).
