Features     &     Reviews
Phone :

The Sony Ericsson K220i is a simple & practical mobile phone which comes in a sleek & well designed casing. The phone looks eye catching in either it's frost white or ocean blue coloured casing. The handset comes with easy to use features & provides the user with a solid reliable mobile handset which can be taken everywhere easily.

Size :

The compact casing is 16.7mm in depth, 46mm wide & 103mm in height which is easy for the user to carry in their bag, briefcase or simply pop into their coat pocket.

Display :

The handset sports display with a resolution of 128x128 pixels, 1.6-inch diagonal and ability to show up to 65 K colors (cSTN). For today’s offerings such screen is everything but a wild dream, it is rather par for the course for low-end solution. The screen accommodates up to 5 text lines and 2 service lines. In the sun it does absolutely no good and you have to search for a good angle to pick out the image.

Camera :

The Sony Ericsson K200i integrates a VGA camera and photo album, immediately accessible with just one click on the dedicated button. Given that the K200i has a slideshow view and will store up to 40 images, it's easy for users to view their pictures in full screen and share them with friends.

Battery :

The device utilizes already familiar 900 mAh Li-Pol unit (BST-37) used in all previous handsets. As the manufacturer claims this capacity is enough for up to 300 hours of stand by and up to 8 hours of talk time. In the conditions of Moscow networks the handset lasted for about 4-5 days at 40-50 minutes of calls (in all) and about 10-15 message (sent). Pretty good result for the given price-bracket is achieved through the screen features and being a non-heavily-packed device. As for the senior model, 1.5-2 hours of radio cuts the battery life down to 3-2 days. It takes the device a bit more than 2 hours to charge from empty to full.

Multimedia :

As with the K200, the K220 is an easy-to-use camera phone with a single icon display, but with the advantage of an integrated FM radio with RDS. Perfect for those quieter moments, the Sony Ericsson K220 can store up to 10 pre-set stations so there is no need to hunt around when it's time to change channels.

Memory :

The phone comes with 2 Mbytes of built in memory.

Networking :

GSM 900 / 1800

Special Feature :

The Sony Ericsson K220i comes with preloaded games & the user can download more Java™ games to suit their gaming taste. The user can enjoy a conference call which allows a group of contacts to talk on one call or use the speaker phone feature to take a call over the phones speaker system. The K220i comes with a phone book feature which can hold up to three hundred contact entries & allows the user to add & remove contacts. The user can use the integrated alarm clock, stopwatch, timer, calculator & calendar on a daily basis which are accessible from the main menu.
