Features & Reviews
Phone : It's an attractive device with an excellent screen and user interface for e-mail and Web browsing. But while elegantly slim, it has the boxy look and feel of an e-mail device rather than a phone. It's not just the hardware that is BlackBerry-like. The E62 comes with BlackBerry Connect, software that lets the device function as a client on a BlackBerry network alongside and with the same features as RIM units - though only where the carrier offers the service |
Size : 4.6 inches long x 2.7 inches wide x 0.6 inches thick; The casing of the E62 is mostly metal, with plastic trim around the docking connector and ear-piece. It feels quite rugged in its construction, and the aluminum skin has a brushed feel that gives it traction. |
Display : 320 x 240 pixel transmissive/reflective LCD. its wide, high-resolution screen displays 16 million colors, making it an excellent choice for media playing and internet browsing. Video was crystal-clear, and going back and forth between web pages was especially easy with a screen capture feature that you can scroll through to go back to the page of your choice. |
Camera : The E62 lacks a camera, but is otherwise well-stocked. |
Battery : Nokia advertises up to 7 hours of talk time with the E62, which I would find to be a reasonable statement. While actual times vary depending on signal strength and other factors, maximum talk time was relatively consistent in this range. Of course, this measurement is with the device's LCD backlight turned off to conserve power. To use the device for web browsing or other Internet applications would yield in the range of 4 hours. The E62 does have amazing standby time. With minimal use, it can run over a week on a single charge, though as with any device, as soon as you start making calls, that figure drops precipitously. |
Multimedia : Though the E61 had strong video playback capabilities, we found the E62 to support fewer formats and to playback video less smoothly. The phone uses RealPlayer for video which plays Real files, some 3GP and Divx (MPEG4) formats. Oddly, it couldn't play a video taken with the Nokia N73 in 3GP format (sound played but video was stuck on the first frame) . The E62's "My Stuff"application is Nokia's Gallery application renamed and it's a one-stop app for viewing photos, opening videos, playing music and listening to recordings taken with the phone's voice recorder. You'll find Nokia's Music Player and Flash Player for Flash Lite games and applications in the Office folder (not where you'd expect!). It does not have the FM radio found on more multimedia-targeted Nokia phones. Music is superb through the stereo headset and even sounds quite good through the loudspeaker. |
Memory : The phone has 80 megs of flash memory available for storage and typically 15.8 megs of free RAM to run programs just after booting compared to the E61's 22.5 megs of free RAM. That said, the E62 runs out of memory less often than older Series 60 devices and does better than the N80 on web browser stability. |
Networking : The E62 is a quad band world phone that will work anywhere GSM service is available. It supports the 850/900/1800/1900MHz bands with EDGE and GPRS for data. Unlike the E61, it does not have 3G. As with most Nokia GSM phones, reception is excellent as are both incoming and outgoing voice quality and volume . |
Games : yes |
performance : The Nokia E62 certainly isn't for everyone, but with its powerful productivity apps, connectivity options, and solid call quality, the smart phone will make a good addition to a corporate user's arsenal. |
Special Feature : Processor: 235 MHz TI OMAP The real star on the E62 and other recent S60 3rd Edition smartphones including the E61 is Nokia's web browser. Nokia's web browser beats Palm and Pocket PC offerings hands down. In addition, the phone comes with a WAP browser (the interface looks almost identical) which is used when you click on a link in an email or select the MediaNet icon in the application launcher (called Services on the E61). Should you need to view the page in the full HTML browser, copy and paste the link into the full browser. The web browser also has a very fast small-screen optimized single column layout for those times you want it fast rather than pretty. |
In the Box : With the E62 you'll find a 1500 mAh battery, world charger with US prongs, USB sync cable, software CD with PC Suite, getting started guide, 2.5mm stereo headset and NO miniSD card. |

What u say about it " The
What u say about it " The Nokia E62 is a smartphone now being offered by Cingular Wireless in the U.S.The E62 is close in design to the Nokia E61 that's sold in Europe, but with a few key differences. The E61 has support for the European 3G networks, while the E62 does not support any 3G. The E61 has Wi-Fi, while the E62 doesn't. On the brighter side, the E62 dispenses with the proprietary Nokia "Pop Port" for audio and USB, substituting standard mini-USB and 2.5mm audio connectors. Otherwise, the devices are identical in design and specs. On a side note, this review departs from my usual format a bit. Instead of providing detailed discussion of every one of the device's specs, I'll be highlighting only the most important elements, leaving the rest of the details in the spec sheet, and thus saving me from having to find yet another new way of saying "this device uses flash memory" , well i dont know , Actually i came here while surfing net to get data related to projects of 70-448 and find this post different one...Is there anyone having information about 70-450?if yes than do tell me!Any updates? The way how u tried to explain some posts at here seems to me different...there are certainly different posts at here, but i didnt find any post related to projects like 70-562...if someone have information about it,do tell me!Well any updates related to this post?if yes than do tell me!
