Features & Reviews
Phone : Nokia 6681 is designed primarily for enhancing productivity at work. This is the rationale for the presence of sought-after features like WAP 2.0, full HTML browser with a download progress bar, as well as fast data transfer through EDGE amd GPRS. One can also download a variety of email attachments whether it be jpeg, MP3, .ppt, doc, excel and .pdf files. Add to this other cool add-ons like its triband frequency with global roaming capability, world time in major cities, currency converter and the usual Bluetooth and USB connectivity which are now de rigeuer in most phones. |
Size : Dimensions 108.4 x 55.2 x 20.5 mm, 104 cc The exterior design of the 6681 is nearly identical to the 6680, and the phones are the same size and very nearly the same weight. It's not a lightweight phone, but is typical for a smartphone. The keypad layout is very convenient and features a five-way scroll key, two soft keys, application key, edit and clear keys, send and end keys. |
Display : TFT, 256K colors |
Camera : The 6681 incorporates a high quality 1.3 megapixel camera (1.23 effective megapixels) with a convenient protective slide. The camera has a flash with a range of 1.5m and a 6x digital zoom. There is also a video recording facility. Images can be printed directly from the phone to a compatible printer or kiosk using Bluetooth or USB cable, or transferred to a PC for processing. Video can be played back in full screen mode and the video player supports both MPEG4 and 3GP formats. |
Battery : Battery type 900 mAh Li-Ion (BL-5C) |
Multimedia : Nokia has backed itself up again leaving the 6681 model without a radio. Just like 6630, Nokia 6681 allows for stereophonic listening to MP3 music files. In the delivery package you get standard Nokia earphones with Pop-Port. No other earphones can be plugged into the phone, except for one future possibility through a reduction Nokia is about to offer. |
Memory : Equipped with 8 MB of non-volatile memory, the 6681 pulls it down a couple of notches from the 10 MB of the 6680 - a little short, as far as we're concerned. A bundled 64 MB RS-MMC card provides additional storage and is also loaded with several high quality applications; we would certainly have preferred for several of these to be loaded into system memory, but expect most users will simply offload images and video periodically to a PC negating a potential memory crisis. |
Networking : The 6680 is also well equipped in the connectivity department, with tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 Mhz under its belt along with support for the classics including CSD, HSCSD and Fax. Having realized there are markets where 3G still isn't present, Nokia quite simply dropped 3G support in the 6681, but fortunately kept a comfortable selection of Bluetooth profiles and USB 2.0 connectivity courtesy of Nokia's proprietary Pop-port. |
Games : Possibility to download new games. |
