Features     &     Reviews
Phone :

The Nokia 6151 is a 3G phone that looks very similar to the Nokia 6233. It's a classic straight design with a functional keypad and 5-way navigation key.

Size :

The Nokia 6151 is an attractive 3G camera phone which comes in a black coloured casing with subtle chrome edging which surrounds the phones screen & keypad. The phone has a large keypad which is user friendly & a clear screen which provides a 262k colour display with a screen resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. The handset is a classic design & measures 108 x 47 x 19 mm with a total weigh of 98 grams

Display :

Colour graphical display high-contrast, shows up to 262000 colours (TFT), the resolution of 128x160 pixels

Camera :

The 6151 includes a 1.3 megapixel camera that will do the job for happy snappers, but naturally isn't of a good enough quality to take any sort of serious photos. The camera doesn't include a flash and suffers from most of the typical camera phone deficiencies: average colour reproduction, poor image noise levels and a lack of detail and sharpness. The camera has a few settings including grayscale, false colours, sepia, negative and solarise effects, as well as the ability to adjust white balance, a 10 second self-timer and night mode. The 6151 is also capable of recording video, but the quality is similarly poor. You can save photos and videos to the 6151's 30MB of internal memory, or alternatively use the microSD slot. Unfortunately there is no included microSD card in the sales package, so be sure to factor this into your purchase if you want to store music and photos on this phone.

Battery :

If battery life is your biggest concern, it’s tough to go past the 6151, and while Nokia is quoting 10 days of standby, we found the battery status bar unmoved even after three days of the odd phone call, SMSing and menu browsing. If that’s not enough, there’s also the option to purchase an additional 970mAh (BP-6M) battery for AU$90 if you like the flexibility of travelling without carrying your charger.

Multimedia :

The Nokia 6151 comes with a stereo FM radio which comes with a visual radio feature. The visual radio is a great way for the user to get information from the radio station & the information will not disturb the users listening experience. The visual radio information is displayed on the phones screen & is provided by the radio station. The information can tell the user details on the song that is currently playing such as the name of the group or solo artist who performs the song, the title of the song & the name of the album. The user can use the music player to play their favourite tracks out loud & enjoy the quality sound provided on the Nokia 6251. The music player can play music in MP3, M4A & eAAC+ format. The phone comes with a Nokia stereo headset so the user can enjoy a more private & personal listening experience.

Memory :

The 6151 comes with 30 Mbytes of built in memory & with an expansion slot which can expand the phones memory to up to 2 Gbytes. The user can use the MicroSD™ memory cards to expand the memory & the cards can be swapped without the user having to turn off the phone

Tri Band (GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900)
WCDMA
Integrated mail client (SMTP/POP3/IMAP4)
Instant Messaging
EDGE class 10
GPRS class 10

Games :

The user can enjoy the built in entertainment which comes in the form of embedded games which include 3D rally, 3D golf tour, snake III & soccer games. The embedded Java™ games will provide the user with a good starting point & the user can download more games to suit their gaming needs.
