Features & Reviews
Phone : Nokia 5200 has similar looks to Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and is one of the most desirable mobile phone for the youngsters. Nokia has blended the design and features in this phone to meet the demands of a new section of users, offering a fresh and trendy experience. This phone was launched at the same time as Nokia 5300 with a difference. There are two main differences between these two phones, the display and the camera. |
Size : It's a slide design phone that looks much like the Nokia 6111. Nokia have improved the design of their slide phones recently and this one slides well. It's a nicely sized phone - the same size as the 5300 XpressMusic and a few grams lighter. The 5-way navigation key works nicely and there are dedicated camera and radio keys on the side for easy access to these functions. The volume keys on the side double up as zoom keys when the camera is in use |
Display : 128 x 160 pixels. The high colour screen can be viewed when the phone is in the slide closed or slide open position & provides the user with a 262k colour TFT display. |
Camera : The use can capture all their precious moments using the built in camera or video feature. The phone comes with a VGA camera complete with 4 x digital zoom which allows the user to take a still photo or record video footage with ease. The user can use a photo frame to give their photo a perfect finish. The camera feature comes with dedicated camera keys which gives the user quick access to their camera features |
Battery : Standard battery, Li-Ion 760 mAh (BL-5B) The Nokia 5200 comes with a rechargeable battery which will give the user up to 263 hours of standby battery time or 3.2 hours of talk time from a fully charged battery |
Multimedia : While specifications for the Nokia 5200 aren't that high-end, it does provide for a compact device for people on the go. On the music front, Nokia has included support for MP3, WMA, M4A, AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+ format files. |
Memory : 5200 features only 5MB of internal memory, which is so low for a music phone. |
Networking : Network Frequency: GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 Besides having GPRS connectivity, this phone includes EDGE connectivity. Might be useless for youngsters, but it's there and it probably helps users download ringtones faster. There's also a 2.0 Bluetooth necessary for multiplayer games or fast data transfers. For synchronization with the PC, the handset features an USB 2.0 port, and there's also the infrared. Good communication features for 5200 and I don't think it would've needed more of these. Nice thinking from Nokia's part. |
